The First Year : 14ème BTS Animation
The following subjects are on the syllabus during the first year:
- Life Drawing : 2 lessons
- Character Design : 4 lessons
- Animation : 18 lessons
- Computer aided animation: 4 lessons
- Background Design : 5 lessons
- History of Animation : 1 lesson
- Language of cinematography : 1 lesson
- English : 1 lesson
There is total of 36 fifty-minute lessons per week. There are 8 courses per day, 4 in the morning and another 4 in the afternoon. Courses are held on 5 days per week. One afternoon remains free over the week. On Saturdays, there are no courses.
Internship
During the holidays between the first and the second school-year, an Internship of 6 weeks has to be carried out. This Internship will be assessed in the second year by means of a report the student has to write. This training aims at getting the student used to the working conditions and organization in an animation studio. Internship is compulsory and each student must personally take care of its organization. The training can take place in any animation studio as long as it is compatible with the professional animation criteria mentioned above.
